Hi, What did you have for breakfast today? If you have read my stories, you know that I love Love. But I have friends too. This morning I was really excited because she invited me to her place to study. I took a shower, I put on my best attire and was quickly on my way. she also told me that I was her first guest. It took some time but I finally arrived at her home. I saw her from the door, she was beautiful; more than I imagined, and so was my friend. She is a gem. However, limerence was never on the table. As an introvert, It was my first time in someone’s house.
After pleasantries were exchanged, she asked me to sit down that she was making breakfast for me. Sweet or Abuse? Regardless, I complied. She headed back into the kitchen as I helped myself with the grapefruits on the table. She came back out with my favorite; fried eggs and bread. She was also sweating like someone who just finished a very difficult math challenge. She served it to me. It smelled great, it looked different and it tasted weird. Granted, I can only make tea but even I was a better cook. I did not want to disappoint her so I pretended to enjoy it.
“Hey dear, what is this yellow stuff on the eggs?” I asked
I secretly grabbed my phone and browsed it.
“Saffron, Crocus Sativus, also known as yellow diamonds or is it gold?”
“The most expensive spice in the world”.
I simply lost my mind. I gulped down all the breads and eggs and teas. I ate it all like a selfish son of a ……. I simply experienced solipsism like never before. I truly felt eclectic. I had gained a new perspective on the world. I thanked her and went home with both pride and shame.
Dear reader, I dare you to come up with a title for this story. The best and most creative title wins.
